Holiday Home Sant'Oreste sul Soratte

Friday, 06 June 2014 00:00

We are 40 minutes from Rome,

casa vacanze sant'oreste sul soratte vista dal cielovery close to the Nature Reserve of Monte Soratte.
The Holiday Home Sant'Oreste on Soratte is the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday enjoying the good life, perhaps alternating busy days in the Eternal City with other less stressful ones discovering the tourist sights of the Roman province.

Nestled among woods and olive groves, the Holiday Home welcomes you in three well-equipped, independent apartments, furnished in tasteful country style and overlooking a beautiful landscape

Soak up the sun

La piscina di casa vacanze sant'oreste sul sorattelaze on the sunbed, take a dip in the pool or read a good book in the shade, lounging in the hammock.

Or organise a drink under the trees or a barbecue with the excellent meat for sale in the area (in these parts the food is great and the drinks even better!).
You have all the space and everything you need to enjoy your stay outdoors in complete freedom with only one obligation: to not disturb the other guests.

Pope Francis

Papa FrancescoWe have been impressed by the simplicity of this man, regardless of religious beliefs: his words are universal, addressed to all, his message of peace and sobriety, cannot go unnoticed. Thanks to him Rome is once again not only the artistic capital but also the spiritual capital of the world.

The papal apartment (...) is not luxurious. It's old, decorated with good taste and large, not luxurious. But in the end it is like an upside down funnel. It is large and spacious, but the entrance is really narrow. They enter in dribs and drabs, and I cannot, I cannot live without people. I need to live my life with others

Surrounding area

Friday, 06 June 2014 00:00

Italy is the country of the "pervasive museum", there is no corner that does not suddenly reveal a few pleasant surprises: it is almost impossible to accurately list all the artistic and natural beauty that surrounds us. Therefore, we are only going to make a few suggestions of some possible destinations for tourism in the Roman province starting from Holiday Home Sant'Oreste on Soratte.

Rome is about an hour away by train which takes you into the city centre at Piazza del Popolo. The eternal city has the greatest concentration of historical and architectural landmarks in the world. The historic centre within the Aurelian walls contains the vestiges of nearly three thousand years of history ...

Vatican City the heart of Christianity, is an independent state located in the centre of the capital. Millions of visitors come from all over the world to listen to the words of the Holy Father Pope Francis and to enjoy the masterpieces in the small city: from the magnificent basilica of St. Peter with Bernini's colonnade to the splendid Sistine Chapel thanks to Michelangelo and the Rooms of Raphael in the Vatican Museums ...
Sito della Santa Sede
Sito dei Musei Vaticani

The Mount Soratte Reserve extends to the mountain from which it takes its name and from the top of which you can see as far as the Tyrrhenian Sea. Numerous hiking trails such as those of the retreats testify to the strong religious connotation of the place through the centuries. Mount Soratte is home to the Soratte Bunker, a complex of 4 km of military tunnels dug during World War II and used as a fallout shelter during the Cold War.
